Delete your Word Storm account
Word Storm makes a guest account for you on our game server the first time it goes online. It holds your leaderboard name, your scores and your ranks. You can delete it at any time.
The quickest way: in the game
Open Settings, find your account at the top, and tap Delete my online data, then Delete. It happens at once.
Or ask us
- Open the game, go to Settings and look under your name for your account code. It looks like
ABCD-EFGH-JKMN. - Email it to [PLACEHOLDER-EMAIL] with the subject "Delete my account".
- We delete the account within [PLACEHOLDER-DAYS] days and reply when it's done.
We ask for the code because it is the only thing that proves the account is yours: only your phone shows it. We never ask for your name, email or anything else, and we don't need your leaderboard name.
What is deleted
Your account on our server, your leaderboard name, every score and rank you have on any leaderboard, and everything else our server keeps for your account. Nothing is kept afterwards, except that a copy can remain in our server's backups for up to 7 days; it is then permanently removed. Our server's logs, which can hold your IP address, are deleted after 14 days. They also record the deletion itself, in one line with your account's random ID and the time and nothing else, so that it can be applied again if the server is ever restored from a backup.
What is not deleted
The games, scores and settings saved on your phone. To remove those, uninstall the game or clear its data in your phone's settings.
What happens next
Next time you open the game, playing online starts a fresh account, with a new name.
If you can no longer open the game
A guest account belongs to the phone that made it, and without that phone there is no account code and nothing to tell us which account is yours. You don't need to do anything: an account with no sign-in for 12 months is deleted automatically, with everything listed above.
